Today was our 5th wedding anniversary. FIVE YEARS! I really think that’s a huge accomplishment these days! I can’t even begin to express how much I love my husband. He is my rock, my supporter, my lover, the father of my beautiful baby girls, my best friend, my everything! He works so hard to take care of us girls, and I know I couldn’t have chosen a better guy.
We had a great weekend. We wanted to blow it out big and take a quick trip to Vegas (which is where we got married), but we couldn't make it work with my mom’s schedule. I’m not even sure I would have been okay leaving the babies overnight anyway. I mean, I wouldn’t want anyone but my mom caring for them…but even then, I dunno.
Our friend Scott came over to babysit on both Saturday and Sunday night so we could go out and celebrate. Saturday night, we went to sundance square in ft. worth and had fondue for dinner. It was delicious as always, one of our favorites, for sure! I had a skittles martini…my first martini EVER. It was very yummy. Afterward, we hung out for a while and watched a band that was playing outside in the square. We had a really good time.
Tonight, we couldn’t stay out too late, because Matt has to get up early for work in the morning…so we just went to dinner. We went to a Mexican restaurant in Dallas that we have never tried called Maximo’s. It was delicious! One of the best chile rellenos I've ever had! Very yummy margaritas too! We had a great weekend, for sure.
This five years has easily been the best five years of my life, and I look forward to the next five! Love you so much, Mattie-Moose!!!
